Welcome to Towcester & Daventry Phab web site

I started the Phab club in Towcester in 1988 - then about 6 people attended.

It has continued to grow to a membership of over 25 individuals of all ages. 

 

We meet at the Riverside Centre , Towcester every other Tuesday evening from 7.30 pm through to 9.30 pm. New members welcomed

on Tuesday 29th Jan 2002 we  held a very successful AGM

May 21st local pub visit
At last meeting we  went to  local working mens  club

  June 10th 2001 the club participated in the Heartbeat  hike .and a great effort was 

made by everyone total money raised was £3.354 

We  took  part in the Heartbeat hike again  this  year.

The total amount raised from the the heartbeat is £1181.60

Despite the weather everybody  had  a  good time .

After the hike some of our members went  on the Eye which they also enjoyed 

On  Sunday 2nd June  There  was a Jubilee fete which had  a  stall  we  raised £ 60.

On Saturday 6th April 17 members of our club went to Peterbough Phab  annual Party.

We all had an enjoyable  time dancing the night away

We have also just been on our 5th holiday this year we stayed at Pen-y-pass in Wales   Everyone seems to enjoy this  went up Snowdon by train and to various other places of interest. Past years we have been Derbyshire Sherwood  forest   and Norfork.W

We are looking forward to our  holiday in Devon

All the holidays have been enjoyable. This years  holiday will in Devon.

 

At our last meeting we had a video about Dogs for the disabled.

Our jumble  sale which was held on Sat  20th  April proved  to be  very  successful

raising in total £220.00 in just 35 minutes

It is hoped we will have our own calendars on sale for 2003

Birthday & Christmas cards will be on sale soon..

Our Chairman Phil Ford was nominated for  the volunteer of the year  award.

which he had won .     It was very well deserved.

 

We have a newsletter now , any ideals would be welcome
